PUBLISHER’S NOTE
For some time past there has been an increasingly growing demand, both in India and abroad, to know more about Sri Aurobindo, his Ashram and his philosophy and teaching. This book written within a brief compass is an attempt to meet that demand. It is an enlarged and revised edition of the previously published volume "Sri Aurobindo: A Life Sketch", but so much new material has been added that it can more properly be called a new book altogether. The last section which appeared as a separate booklet entitled "The Teaching and the Ashram of Sri Aurobindo" is included here as it agrees very well with the general plan of the book and is likely to be helpful to the readers. |
